At Circle of Grace we gather around shared life rather than shared belief or shared doctrine. We share bread and juice, and we remember who we are and who we are called to be together and in the world.
Each Sunday we share the Eucharist and words like these are spoken:
There is nothing you have to do or say or believe to be fed this holy meal. From the beginning of time the Holy One has fed the people. From the fruit of the garden to manna in the desert, to meals that call us to remember the stories of divine activity of liberating people from oppression. If for any reason you do not wish to share this meal, we ask that you still come be a part of the circle, for this meal must never must never be a test of who is inside and who is outside the circle. Bread for the journey. Drink in the promises of God.
